French Consumer Confidence Jumps

LONDON -- French consumer confidence jumped in November, boosted by rising optimism over personal finances and the general economic situation, the statistical agency Insee reported Friday. The agency's consumer confidence index rose to -30 from -34 in October. Economists had expected an unchanged reading of -34, according to a survey conducted by Dow Jones Newswires.
