Aeropostale's Oct. Same Store Sales Rise 3%

BOSTON -- Aeropostale Inc. said Thursday that its October sales at stores open at least one year increased 3%. Analysts, on average, had expected same-store sales to rise 13.8%, according to Thomson Reuters. Total net sales for the four-week period ended Oct. 31, 2009 increased 9% to $138.8 million, from $127.4 million for the four-week period ended Nov. 1, 2008, the company said. Aeropostale boosted its third-quarter earnings outlook to a range of 90 cents and 91 cents a share, up from between 84 cents and 85 cents a share previously.
