Dividends

You know that buying a stock makes you part owner of a company, theoretically with millions of other people. But, while ownership has its privileges (at minimum you get a neat stock certificate and an invitation to the annual meeting), being an owner doesn't necessarily pay. Sure, you make money if the stock goes up, but only if you sell, and you can, in theory, lose all the value of your investment if the stock tanks.

Enter the dividend. Here, you get money simply from holding the stock. Companies pay a yield, which is expressed in a percentage based on the stock's price. For example, if a stock trades at $10, and pays a 10% annual yield, your dividend payment would be a $1. (Usually, companies break out the payments quarterly, so, using our example, you¿d get, well, a quarter each quarter.)

Companies that pay dividends fall into a few categories. First, you've got your big, stable companies that generate enough cash that it makes sense to throw some back to shareholders. Next, there are businesses, like real estate investment trusts, that are in the business of sitting back and receiving cash, then distributing it to holders. And, then there are companies that need to dangle a high dividend yield like a carrot to ease investor fears. Cigarette-maker Altria has been doing this for years.

Simply because a company pays a dividend doesn't make it a good investment. After all, you may want to take a chance on a growth stock that can move higher in price than dividend payers are known to do. But, you can¿t beat the safety of knowing that, even if a stock doesn't move in a year, you¿re at least making something off your investment.

LOS ANGELES, CA, May 05, 2008 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX News Network) ----SuperVision Entertainment Inc.: (PINKSHEETS: SVET)

The FDA (Food and Drug Administration) recently approved an artificial sweetener made from all natural crops such as wheat, rice, corn, potatoes, barley etc. Besides being an ingredient that can replace sugar in thousands of products it is the perfect product for the diabetic and obesity market.

This amazing new product is produced by creating an enzymatic degradation of natural crops which is then processed and purified. The end result is an all natural sweetener that looks exactly like honey, tastes exactly like honey, and has the same consistency as honey. It is also available in powder form.

Unlike other artificial sweeteners currently being marketed, this product provides no glycemic spike when taken. The incredible science behind the product does not allow any enzyme in the human body to digest the sweetener. For Diabetics this product is being touted as the greatest invention since Insulin.

A Diabetic can now enjoy the sweet taste yet the product is not absorbed into the body by the digestive system. Furthermore the product is pre-biotic and pro-biotic and has many good health applications to diabetic children and to seniors.

Diabetes affects an estimated billion people around the world, almost one sixth of the world's population! Diabetes is also closely associated with obesity.

The company is now working with some of the largest sugar and ingredient companies in the world and signing NDA agreements with the overall objective of obtaining manufacturing, distribution and marketing license agreements. The company has already received two such licenses which are still being considered.

Two new websites are currently being constructed to allow the direct purchase of the product by the public and specifically diabetics. This should be activated by September 1st, 2008. All those interested in this product watch for www.diabetics-direct.com and www.super-biotics.com

The company continues its development with the revolutionary and technically advanced SUPERMAG generator that is nearing completion on the 10KW prototype. The SUPERMAG generates electricity by manipulating very powerful magnetic fields. In light of the recent developments in the price of oil, the SUPERMAG is a potential product that can stop the reliance on fossil fuels in an environmentally perfect manner. It is far superior to solar and wind power-generating systems. The system is currently being considered as a power application to automobiles.

The company recently held its annual Directors meeting in the Bahamas on April 15th-16th, 2008 and completed filming scenes for the SUPERMAG DVD. A decision has been made to change the name of the company to Supervision Inc., which will more accurately reflect the diverse and eclectic make up of the company businesses. SuperVision Entertainment Inc. will become a wholly owned division dealing strictly with the entertainment element of the company. The Ticker Symbol: SVET will remain the same.
