Vinci Nine-month Revenue Slips 4%
By Steve Goldstein
MarketWatch Pulse
LONDON -- Vinci , the French construction giant, said nine-month revenue fell 4.3% to 25.07 billion euros ($37 billion), or down 6.1% on a comparable basis, as moves to protect margins in contracting offset increased French motorways traffic. It still expects for the year a slight increase in revenue generated by French motorway concessions and a decline of 6% to 7% in revenue generated by contracting business lines with a limited reduction in operating margins. The order book is up 4% since the end of 2008 to 24.2 billion euros.
