Harsco Profit Halved

Harsco Corp., (HSC) which provides products and services to metals producers, reported quarterly profits less than half of what they were a year ago.
The company was hurt by a charge and by lower global steel production.
Income from continuing operations was $35.1 million, or 40 cents per share, in the third quarter, down from $85.5 million, or 99 cents per share, one year ago.
Total revenue dropped 29% to $744.2 million. Analysts predicted earnings of 47 cents per share on revenue of $789.1 million.
