Eisai To Sell Lymphoma Treatment In Japan This Summer-Nikkei

TOKYO -(Dow Jones)- Eisai Co. (4523.TO) plans to begin sales of lymphoma and leukemia treatment Bendamustine in Japan this summer, the Nikkei reports.
Without citing where it obtained the information, the paper said that Eisai hopes to tap strong domestic demand for the treatment.
In 2008, Eisai and SymBio Pharmaceuticals reached a license agreement for the co-development and commercialization of bendamustine hydrochloride in Japan, with exclusive rights retained by SymBio.
