By Joanna Ossinger
FOXBusiness
Sanofi-Aventis’s (SNY) $4 billion bid for Merial, its animal-health joint venture with Merck & Co. (MRK), is the third-largest corporate U.K.-targeted deal year-to-date, Dealogic said.
The largest is Xstrata’s $48.3 billion bid for Anglo American (AAUK), and the second-biggest is the U.K.’s bid for London & Continental Railways. Both of those deals were announced last month.
