Merck, Bristol-Myers Lead Drug Stocks Higher

BOSTON -- Merck & Co. and Bristol-Myers Squibb led drugs stocks higher early Monday, joining the broader market in positive territory. The NYSE Arca Pharmaceutical Index rose 1% to 300.82 and the NYSE Arca Biotechnology Index edged up 0.4% to 895.04. Shares of Merck were up 3% at $34.24, while Bristol-Myers shares gained 4% to rest $23.98.
