Dendreon Files Early for Provenge
FOXBusiness
Dendreon (DNDN) announced on Monday that its prostate cancer drug Provenge has gone through the Food and Drug Administration application ahead of its 2010 predicted schedule.
Although Provenge works as a vaccine that stimulates the immune system, it is offered as a treatment for those who have the cancer.
"With the BLA [Biologics License Application] submission complete, we have taken an important step towards reaching our goal of bringing a new therapy to men with advanced prostate cancer," said Dendreon CEO Mitchell Gold in a company statement.
The drug is expected to be launched as originally scheduled in 2010 once it gains FDA approval.
