WSJ: Van Kampen Fund Unit Attracts Potential Buyers

Morgan Stanley (MS) has been approached by several parties interested in purchasing its Van Kampen fund unit, The Wall Street Journal said Friday, citing a person familiar with the matter.
Van Kampen could sell for $1 billion or more, the Journal said, noting that Morgan Stanley has been working on an overhaul of its struggling asset-management business.
