WASHINGTON -- In the wake of a "sobering" job report for October, the White House is examining new measures to spur growth, President Obama said Friday. "Although it will take time and will take patience, I am confident our economy will recover," Obama said in brief remarks at the White House. Obama ran through a quick list of five measures under scrutiny; investment in roads and bridges, energy retro-fitting, additional tax cuts for businesses to create jobs, boosting credit to small businesses and support for exporters. Obama's remarks came after he signed a bill that extends jobless benefits and also extends a tax credit for home buyers.
