European Shares In Tight Range

LONDON -- European shares were in a tight range on Tuesday, as investors took a break after pushing shares sharply higher in the previous session and eyed results from Vodafone Group , down 1.4%, Sodexho , down 6%, and Barclays , down 1.7%. The U.K. FTSE 100 index rose 0.2% to 5,245.59, the German DAX index climbed 0.1% to 5,625.86 and the French CAC-40 index traded flat at 3,784.35.
