Corzine Says Bank of America Not In His Future
FOXBusiness
Former New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine said on Thursday in a news conference that he has not spoken with Bank of America (BAC) about becoming the bank's CEO. Corzine, who previously served as a Goldman Sachs (GS) executive, said he had been “reading books” instead of preparing to join Bank of America.
Addressing reports by BusinessWeek and the The Wall Street Journal,Corzine said in the conference that he has "never thought about" joining Bank of America as CEO, and that he does not see the company as part of his future.
Once Corzine leaves office on January 19, 2010, he said he is unsure what he will do next. The press conference marked the first time Corzine had spoken to the public since his concession speech on November 3.
