Bankrate: Mortgage Rates Remain Mostly Flat

NEW YORK -- The average 30-year fixed mortgage rate held steady at 5.35% from a week ago, according to Bankrate.com's weekly national survey released Thursday. The average 15-year fixed-rate mortgage inched lower to 4.72% from 4.74% last week. The average jumbo 30-year fixed rate rose to 6.50%. Adjustable mortgage rates were mixed, with the average one-year ARM falling to 5.27% and the five-year ARM unchanged at 4.64%.
