Oil Rebounds After Historic Slide

U.S. crude oil futures rose above $100 a barrel on Tuesday, jumping more than $3 on the stronger stock market and on hopes that Washington will eventually pass legislation to bolster the financial sector.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange at 10:45 a.m. EDT, November crude was up $3.03, or 3.14%, to $99.40 a barrel, trading from $93.36 to $100.02.
