Nicor Said Subsidiary Will Buy Deluxe Freight (GAS)

Nov 07, 2009 (SmarTrend(R) News Watch via COMTEX) ----11/7/2009 - Nicor Inc. (NYSE:GAS) said its subsidiary Birdsall Inc. will buy Deluxe Freight, which is a Miami shipping company. The terms of the deal were not disclosed. Birdsall is the parent company of Tropical Shipping, which ships containerized freight in the Bahamas and Caribbean. Deluxe Freight primarily serves the Cayman Islands. Deluxe Freight will keep its headquarters in Miami and operate as a separate brand that is led by its current President, Willie Munoz.
