Cavuto: Has the Whole World Given Up on Capitalism?

Missed Wednesday's Cavuto? Catch "The Deal" right here on FOXBusiness.com

Protesters rail against capitalism they say isn't working.

Amid signs on Wall Street, lately at least, maybe it is.

    Here's the deal:

If you've got money, and you're in London, hide it. Don't flaunt it.

Because thousands of protesters there think you're the very embodiment of evil because of it.

Leaving aside the fact many of them were on cell phones, some even texting their exploits...

It's the rally that matters, not the means of the folks rallying.

    Capitalism bad.

    Socialism better.

Those leaders of powerful nations gathering there never good.

It's odd, when you think about it, because all the leaders this year are actually singing the protesters' tune.

They too are railing against banks, and brokers, greedy moguls, and selfish CEOs.

They too are aiming to rein in their pay, and tax mightily what's left.

So ignore those guys throwing Molotov cocktails and smoke bombs, rocks and quite literally, cut up credit card shards.

They're actually doing the very dignitaries' bidding.

Far from revolting from those leaders, they're making them look twice as revolting.

It's like the whole world has given up on capitalism that's suited us fine for a century, because it hasn't been fine for a fiftieth of that century.

Leaving aside the predicament a lot of these kids would be in if the other guys had the upper hand in the War on Terror.

    Or the war in Afghanistan.

Or the edge in social advancement.

    Or simply human decency.

    Hard to imagine them protesting.

Actually, hard to imagine a lot of 'em even living.

But there they are pelting the very police trying to give democracy order... During a summit trying to return the world to some sense of order.

Clearly they don't like where we are. Many too young to even faintly recall where their continent has been.

Silly thing about history. Like the markets, people forget. And more often, people ignore.
