It's the election, stupid.
And forget about CIT filing.
Or Ford vrooming.
Or purchasing managers purchasing.
Focus on people voting.
Tomorrow.
Because it could set the tone the day after tomorrow.
The tone with health-care reform and if we get it.
Or the size of that reform and whether it will be smaller because of it.
Because mark my words...As off-off-year as these races in Virginia and New Jersey and a smattering of cities are...They are the closest thing to barometers this nation's got this year...Ahead of sweeping midterm elections next year.
That's why we'll be so focused on them on FOX Business.
Because if you think about it, they could go a long way toward deciding the nation's business.
How fast they move on health-care reform.
How much they spend on health-care reform.
How results tomorrow could affect those Congressmen who've been big supporters of health-care reform.
What if voters indicate they want to rein in spending...Would their sentiments rein in the very Congressmen taking it to new levels?
And perhaps signaling new frustrations for the president?
Hard to say.
This much is not.
These elections are about more than electing a couple of governors or mayors.
They're the first chance to gauge how voters feel about the direction of this country.
Do they altar that direction or confirm it?
And do the global markets that we'll also follow confirm that direction and buy on it, or sell on it?
We're all over it.
And tonight, this election eve, all over the consequences of what's at stake because of it.
Because with all the stuff out today...This is what you need to know tonight.
For you and your money...It's all about...Tomorrow.
