ROSLYN, N.Y.--Two historic buildings in a village on Long Island have been destroyed by a fast-moving fire.

The pre-dawn Monday fire destroyed a restaurant and a cafe in an adjacent building, both structures in the heart of the village of Roslyn were being renovated.

About 100 firefighters from seven local departments fought the blaze for an hour to bring it under control. The fire was finally extinguished about two hours later.

The Nassau County Fire Marshal's Office says the fire is not considered suspicious. No one was injured.
