FRANKFURT -- France's third-quarter gross domestic product grew a smaller-than-expected 0.3% from the previous quarter, the National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies reported (INSEE) on Friday. Economists surveyed by Dow Jones Newswires expected GDP growth of 0.7%. In the second quarter, France also posted quarterly growth of 0.3%. The foreign trade balance was the driving force behind third-quarter GDP growth, INSEE said.
