What is the FOX Business iPhone application?

The FOX Business iPhone application is a mobile application built specifically for iPhone (and iPod Touch with software version 3.0 or higher). The application provides fresh business news and market data via Wi-Fi or the cellular network.

What features does the FOX Business iPhone application offer?

The FOX Business iPhone application features the latest business headlines, real time market and stock data, live streaming and on demand video, stock portfolio tracking and alerts, and the FOX Business Channel Finder and Hotel Finder.  For more details on the application’s features click here.

How do I download the FOX Business iPhone Application?

The FOX Business iPhone application can be downloaded through the iTunes Store here. You must be using software version 3.0 or higher to install the application.

Does the FOX Business iPhone application cost anything?

FOX Business does not charge for the application. Please note that in the absence of a Wi-Fi connection, the FOX Business iPhone application uses your iPhone’s cellular network connection to access and download content. Please check with your carrier to see if you will be charged for usage.  

Can I read the news offline or in Airplane Mode?

Yes, you can read the latest news from the last time your device was connected to the Internet. Please note that the video, market updates and stock alert features require a network connection and will not be available when you are offline. 

How do I personalize the application’s menu?

The menu is displayed throughout the application on the bottom of the screen. You can configure the buttons to include your favorite sections of the app.  The default menu includes buttons for Latest, News, Video, My Money and More. To customize it, click “More,” then tap “Edit” on the top right corner of the screen. On the “Configure” screen, you can drag and drop icons into the menu to rearrange the application navigation.

Can I watch FOX Business Network on the application?

At this time, streaming FOX Business Network is not available.  However, you can watch FOXBusiness.com Live from 6-9AM ET and 12-1PM ET.  On demand video clips are also available.

Why is the live video not streaming?

The Video page includes both live streaming video and the latest 25 video clips on demand. FOXBusiness.com Live, the live streaming video, is available from 6-9AM ET and 12-1PM ET Monday through Friday. The quality of the video is dependent on your wireless network and signal strength.  If you do not have a strong enough connection, you may only have access to the audio stream.

How do I add a stock to My Money?

To search for a stock enter the symbol or company name into the stock search box on the Latest, Stocks, or My Money section of the app.  On the stock page, tap “Add” on the upper right corner of the screen to add the stock to My Money.  

How do I delete a stock from My Money?

To remove a stock from your portfolio, simply tap the “Edit” button on the top right corner of the My Money page.  Then tap the “Delete” icon to the left of the stock.  A delete button will slide out on the right-hand side of the page; tap this button to delete the stock from My Money.

How do I set up a Stock Alert?

You may set up stock alerts for the stocks you are tracking in My Money.  On the My Money page select the bell icon next to the stock price to access the Push Notification settings page. Tap “ON” and then set a High and/or a Low stock price to be alerted when the selected stock exceeds or drops below these values.  Tap “Alert Type” to set whether you will receive a badge or alert notification when the stock hits these values.  Then, tap the “Update” button in the upper-right corner of the screen to save your alert.

How do I cancel a stock alert?

To cancel a stock alert, tap “OFF” on the Push Notification settings page.  Save your changes by selecting the “Update” button on the top right corner of the screen.

How many stocks and stock alerts can I add to My Money?

A maximum of 10 stocks may be added to your My Money portfolio.  For each of these stocks, you may set stock alerts.

How do I view stock charts?

To view a stock chart, simply rotate your device to landscape mode from any stock page.  The day chart for the stock will be displayed, however you may also view the week, month, or year chart.  Drag your finger along the chart to see the stock’s price at various points in time, or select two points to see the stock’s performance between those points in time.  

What is the Channel Finder and how does it work?

Use the Channel Finder to find FOX Business Network in your area. You can find the Channel Finder under the “More” section. Enter your zip code in the search box or select “Find Local Channels Near Me” for a list of the FOX Business Network channels in your area.

What is the Hotel Finder and how does it work?

With the FOX Business Hotel Finder, you can find hotels that carry FOX Business Network.  To search for hotels with FBN, go to the “More” section and enter a zip code in the Hotel Finder search box or select the “Find Hotels Near Me” button. You will be presented with a list of hotels in the area that offer FOX Business Network.
