Edison International Net Income Falls 8%

NEW YORK -- Edison International on Friday said third-quarter net income fell to $403 million, or $1.23 a share, from $439 million, or $1.33 a share in the year-ago period. Core earnings fell to $1.09 a share $1.46 a share. Analysts expected earnings of $1.06 a share for the power company, according to a survey by FactSet Research. Revenue fell to $3.7 billion from $4.3 billion. "Edison International is on track to meet its financial objectives laid out for investors at the beginning of the year," said CEO Theodore Craver.
