" Are welcome back everybody US banker and American -- joining forces to make up their annual list. 125. Most powerful women in the banking industry and our next guest actually among those women Diana -- is here global head of payments for. Citigroup's global transaction services unit that enforceable congratulations what a great honor and thank you T been on an album that's ridiculous for the first time is it but you've been on the you've been. Honored twice this year but that's correct yes thank you wanted to be -- addition. What do you think of when you know women in banking comes up what do you say to yourself I'd rather not talk about that much want to just be known as banker. Or do you take pride in in in being honored and in the list like this."

" I take pride in being one of the women -- I think that we have a lot to accomplish and I'm very committed to."

" helping other women as well succeeds I take pride in being one of the women in banking -- want a larger issues there and I don't talk about your business in the second but just speak before we let this topic go. One of the larger issue here in terms of women in the workforce overall. Is that we've seen on Wall Street particular a lot of money gets the point where they're they're well known on the -- account of Lehman Brothers was that was on that list couple years ago. Sally cross check on and off and completely a lot of attention. And then you wonder only get to a certain point but not to the top of some of these companies is there's something going on. You know that some sort of an institutional bias against those women or is it as some people brought up more of the case where there were women. Largely are making personal choices in their lives that kind of prevents the progress of their careers so."

" I mean I can't really comment on some other women's personal choices but I think that there are no boundaries particularly for women like myself for the other women -- top 25 category. There is so many of things to be done -- city such a large global franchise. Many ways for us to contribute I actually haven't experienced that so. Yeah I don't think in effect if you look at our business I think you see quite a diverse. Management committee and a quite a commitment to diversity is I don't I don't see that."

" Good good enough that's that's obviously greatness moving forward from here your business as you said a global transactions. The services unit there tell us what's new there because Citigroup we see so much in the news just generally speaking right obviously and it's been. It's been tough couple years but going forward from here what's new and how does the company emerge."

" And there's quite a big investment made in our business every year so. I think it's probably one of the significant. Businesses and that we are in the underpinning of what we do for our customers around the world I tell us house that your your your point it sounds like is that you're going to help -- and city. Out of this yes I think our business will do that has -- has not going to work well we offer -- products for all customers so you have a corporates you have a government customers and financial situations all of them have to. And maximize their cash so they do things like you and I do we make payments every day might be a check payment from -- world. Electronic payment or. Summer -- services. We offer products where let's say telephone company can offer me headaches right so we'll give them they'll give their customer a rebate card if they purchase a high and cut phone. Those are cards so we we offer mobile phone stuff products we offer prepaid cards put a lot of."

" And then it's you know one of the things we -- his interest in the other day when we're talking about Citi group in general the larger corporation is that this target supposedly on more affluent customers going forward does that apply to what you're doing your group is that more."

" Investment banking of the thing yes that's more on the -- consumer side in the private banking side of our business we really service the the government the finance institutions and the large corporates dot."

" at this time next year because of it has been fairly trivial and obviously goes without saying what would how do you think your unit will be looking this time next few verses may be."

" Last year at this time is to be it will come full circle mean will know you got I unit has not been impacted by the market turbulence we have been there for customers -- to continue to grow and we -- more. Client mandates I think we're going to continue to be an even bigger part. And in fact if you look at Vikram. Presentation he made on the sixteenth to the markets financial services conference. He talked about. Three aspects of the business and he wants the services business to -- to a -- the companies to -- part of that growth that he sees in city."

" Getting bigger not smaller getting bigger and yes getting bigger than it was great to -- and -- that on this because in this part of the the ought to go again is there any advice that you give to younger women that are getting into the business of trying to rise up for the rights on Wall Street. "

" Yeah I'd say be resourceful prioritize. And take advantage of your network news people that can help -- progress in your career act I think it's an incredible opportunity out there and."

" Okay that's in congratulations thank you -- and it's nice to meet me the appreciate."

look at the pockets bill we always expected at least if the finance committee . Were to consider the baucus bill which it's doing right now it would be up for an amendment there are hundreds of amendments here that at least one of them. Would include an amendment that would create a public option. On the pockets bill now it's not clear as to whether that would pass in the finance committee but remember elections -- does. Not pass the finance committee there's still a possibility. That it could pass in the broader senate or it passes the board does not pass the broader senate. There's still a possibility that it can be brought up in the conference between house in the Senate and still put it there are many stages right now -- a public option could be attached. Two of the baucus plan if it does come out of the senate finance don't of course and outside. Either trying to get a move -- forward on a bill full house passage of this bill. As quickly as possible I have speaker Nancy Pelosi has been speaking about. Putting her own version out some changes to the bills that had been discussed before the congressional
