A site called Local Harvest contains a database for all local farms, markets, grocery stores and restaurants across the U.S. Also at localharvest.org, you can sign up for a CSA subscription. Community Supported Agriculture subscriptions will get you a weekly basket of locally grown produce, flowers, and additional items such as wool and other farmed products.

Microsoft's (MSFT) Bing and a music system developer called Melodeo teamed up with Apple to bring a free music-playing app to the iPod touch, the iPhone, and the iPad. The Top 100s by Year by Bing is free right now at the iTunes App Store for a limited time, giving you access to thousands of the best songs from the past 6 decades. Just pick the year you want to hear the top 100 songs from, and during that 365-day period they will be streamed over your device's WiFi, 3G, or Edge network. If you really like what you hear you can buy the song on iTunes.

Twitter for a Flock

Small businesses, charitable organizations, and certain groups now have the option to share a twitter account among its employees and members. A new program called BirdHerd lets you create a single Twitter account whose direct messages, profiles and retweets can be shared among a number of authorized people. You can also use the service to send private group messages, making instant communication even easier.
