Canada Bans BPA Despite Evidence It’s Safe
Last week, Canada announced it will ban the chemical “BPA” – a chemical used to make plastic bottles and canned goods. Environmental activists, like the head of the Canadian “Evironmental Defence”, were thrilled:
Kudos to the federal government… We look forward to seeing BPA legally designated as 'toxic' as soon as possible." ... continue reading »

I'm on Twitter
I’ve been skeptical about Twitter. IT folks at ABC called it a passing fad, but now I’m giving it a try. I may never have 300,000 followers like my friend Glenn Beck … or 6 million like Lady Gaga, but it’s nice to interact with as much of my audience as I can. I will post behind-the-scenes pictures, previews of my upcoming shows and specials, and video clips. You can follow me at @FBNStossel

Is the War on Drugs Over?
The media acts as if that is what’s happening: WSJ: White House Czar Calls for End to 'War on Drugs' LA Times: The 'war on drugs' is over FOXNews.com: Obama's New Plan Signals End to Criminal Approach to War on Drugs But that... continue reading »

The Power of Glenn Beck
Guess what the number #1 book on Amazon is. Frederick Hayek’s Road to Serfdom! Unfortunately, this doesn’t demonstrate a new national surge of interest in Austrian economics. It mainly demonstrates the power of Glenn Beck and his unusually successful 5pm Fox News TV show. Beck devoted his show yesterday to Road to Serfdom, interviewed an articulate speaker from the Mises Institute, and the surge of sales on Amazon is the happy result.

Fat and Tax
The obesity hysteria will not stop. The MSM tells us that it’s just obvious that the “crisis” requires new taxes and government limits on your choices. The American Council on Science and Health, as usual, offers valuable perspective on “rising obesity rates”:
“'Obesity rates are not rising,' says ACSH’s Jeff Stier... continue reading »

Where Are the Bodies?
Today’s NYTimes features yet another scare story about industrial chemicals. The writers say that the widespread use of the weedkiller Roundup has created “superweeds” which are herbicide resistant! That “could lead to higher food pricescontinue reading »

Complaint from the NY Times
If you’re one of the dwindling number of people still reading the New York Times, you may have seen a desperate call for attention on its blog by Scott James, whose feathers were apparently ruffled because I didn’t include his name in a blog post I wrote months ago. I’m not clear why he’s upset. I linked, in a different color, to his articles... continue reading »

Tonight's Show: Myths, Lies & Downright, Stupidity (FBN 8PM & Midnight ET)
On my Fox Business show this week (Thursday at 8pm & Midnight ET): Myths, lies and downright stupidity. In 40 years of reporting, I’ve learned that much of what people believe, and what the media reports, is myth. “Capitalism is cruel” and “business is evil” are myths popularized by the MSM and Hollywood. But, as radio host Michael Medved explains, business is more fair and more reliable than government... continue reading »
