More Junk Science
Yesterday, the administration announced new regulations on car emissions. Our rulers will increase the minimum gas mileage from 27.5 to 35.5 mpg. For the first time, the government will also restrict automobile CO2 emissions. In a press release, the administration admits that the changes will increase the cost of the typical car by $1,000. Brilliant Government Testing
With health "reform" signed, government will finally step in to decide which medical treatments work. What a relief! We waste money on ineffective medicine. Perhaps Congress will model its medical certification on the EPA's and Energy Department's Energy Star program.

Minnesota spent $3.3 million on eleven wind turbines. $3.3 million may be a rounding error by Washington standards, but it is real money to most of us. Ed Morrissey writes that what's notable is that none of the wind turbines work in cold weather.
