Credit Cards Are About To Get Worse (Tonight on Fox News Channel @ 9pm & midnight ET)
Next time your credit card company raises interest rates, or imposes an annual fee, or cuts back on your rewards program, or suddenly charges you for your “free” debit card and checking account ... blame Rep. Barney Frank and Sen. Chris Dodd. They were the key sponsors of laws passed this year that promised to “protect” you from unfair penalties, fees and interest rate hikes. That's Promise #5 in my new special “Politicians’ Top 10 Promises Gone Wrong”... continue reading »

Destroy Cars, Save the Economy! (9pm and midnight Friday on Fox News)
My new special “Politicians’ Top 10 Promises Gone Wrong” airs this Friday in Hannity's timeslot -- 9pm EST (repeating at midnight EST). Thanks, Sean, for letting me take your time! My first promise gone wrong was last summer, when the administration passed Cash for Clunkers, which paid people $3,000 to destroy their older car and buy a new one. They promised it would, and then that it did, stimulate the economy. President Obama said “it was more successful than we ever imagined.” Of course he did. Politicians always see the seen benefit – in this case, the auto dealers getting new bus... continue reading »

Have Uncle Sam Buy You Alpacas (9pm Friday on Fox News)
Politicians like Bernie Sanders promise that they will “save family farming” and “strengthen family-based agriculture." The result: lots of special tax exemptions for farmers. Livestock owners don't have to pay any taxes on income that they then spend on their business. They can write off property taxes... continue reading »

Punish the Wiki “Sleazeball?" Bill, Chill.
Tonight on The Factor, Bill O’Reilly wants to know what I think should be done to punish alleged secrets leaker, Bradley Manning, and Wikileaks founder, Julian Assange. Manning is now a military private now in custody, accused of leaking classified military documents to Assange. Assange, an Australian national, gave some of the documents to media outlets around the world. ... continue reading »

Let Markets Civilize Airport Security
The government says it may fine one young man $11,000 for leaving the airport without “permission.” He didn’t want to be scanned by the invasive new scanners, and he didn’t want the TSA touching his “junk.” When they’re not touching your junk, the TSA makes children cry. Now Bill O’Reilly demands that I provide my “solution,” or endorse his. I admit, I don’t know the best solution... continue reading »

O’Reilly is Wrong
On the Factor tonight, Bill attacks me for favoring drug legalization. He presents it in his usual charming way:
“Are you a pot-head, Stossel?”
“Pot’s going to lose in California.”... continue reading »
