A Trillion Dollars Later...
I've been attacked for saying that "organic" foods are expensive and pointless.
It's nice when even the NY Times points it out. Today, Kenneth Chang reports on a Stanford study that
[...] concluded that fruits and vegetables labeled organic were, on average, no more nutritious than their conventional counterparts, which tend to be far less expensive. [...] researchers also found no obvious health advantages to organic meats.
But, organics fans, some good news: organics -- despite being grown in fecal matter -- are not more likely to be crawling with E-Coli and other bacteria than conventional food.
