U.S. stocks rose Friday with the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq closing at records on better-than-expected jobs report for April. The U.S. private sector added roughly 211,000 new jobs last month, ahead of the 190,000 increase forecast by economists in a MarketWatch poll. The unemployment rate, meanwhile, fell to 4.4%, the lowest level since May 2007. The S&P 500 gained 9 points, or 0.4%, to end at 2,399, closing up 0.6% for the week. The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 54 points, or 0.3%, close at 21,006, for a weekly rise of 0.3%. The Nasdaq added 25 points, or 0.4%, to end at 6,100, finishing out the week 0.9% higher.
