WASHINGTON – Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermonttold the New York Times in an interview Wednesday that he would lay off "hundreds" of campaign staffers across the country. Sanders said he will devote most of his energies to winning California. He said he plans to remain in the race through the party's summer convention and hoped to bring staff members back on board if he could.
