U.S. Stocks Rise After Upbeat Earnings, Oil Jump

U.S. stocks ended higher on Thursday, as a jump in oil prices and upbeat earnings results from Facebook Inc. and Under Armour Inc. lifted sentiment. Shares of Facebook and Under Armour soared 15.5% and 23% respectively. The S&P 500 gained 10.39 points, or 0.6%, to 1,893.34. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 125.05 points, or 0.8%, to 16,069.51. Meanwhile, the Nasdaq Composite ended the day up 38.51 points, or 0.9%, at 4,506.68.
