Toyota Recalls 690,000 Tacoma Pickup Trucks, Supervalu and Albertsons Hacked

Toyota said it is recalling 690,000 Tacoma pickup trucks to fix a problem with rear leaf springs. Rust and corrosion can cause the springs to break, puncture the gas tank, and start a fire.  Vehicles under the recall included Tacoma four-by four models and pre-runner pickups from 2005 to 2011.

Hackers might have stolen personal credit-card numbers and other data from thousands of people who shop at Supervalu (SVU) and Albertsons stores in more than 12 states.  The hack took place from late August through early September.  The grocery story chain said the hack was contained to just a few checkout lanes at its Cub stores in Minnesota because it was not yet finished installing security upgrades.
       
Bill Gates, who is worth $81 billion, tops Forbes’ list of the 400 richest Americans.  The tech founder’s worth is up $9 billion over last year, thanks to an increase in the value of his Microsoft (MSFT) stock.
