Major U.S. stock indexes hit new intraday records on Thursday, after a surprise interest rate cut by the European Central Bank, but before the close, Wall Street erased all those gains. The three major market averages finished the day in the red. The S&P 500, in fact, has hit all-time-highs in each of the last three days, yet has finished each session down. This hasn't happened since at least 1960, suggesting uncertainty among investors.
