Orbitz Worldwide Inc. said it earned $6.88 million, or 6 cents a share, in the second quarter, up from $561,00 in the year earlier period, which did not yield a per-share earnings number. Revenue rose 10% to $248.1 million from $225.8 million. The FactSet consensus was for per-share earnings of 15 cents and revenue of $246 million. Room nights rose 20% in the quarter, the online travel website said in a statement, while gross bookings were up 9%. The company said it now expects third-quarter revenue of $249 million to $254 million and adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) of $41 million to $46 million. For the full year, the company is expecting revenue to grow 9% to 11% and EBITDA to grow 7% to 10%. Shares were not yet active in premarket trade.
