NEW YORK – Bank of America Corp. shares fell 2% on Wednesday. The bank is negotiating with the Justice Department to settle for allegations of mortgage fraud related to the financial crisis and is looking to settle for $12 billion, but prosecutors are pushing for $17 billion, according to media reports. The Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund , which tracks financial stocks in the S&P 500 , fell 0.57%. J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. and Morgan Stanley were down more than 1%. Citigroup Inc. fell nearly 1% and Goldman Sachs Group Inc. was down 0.52%.
