Dow Poised for Run at 17K

Stimulus in Europe offered a boost for U.S. stocks as the Dow closed just shy of the 17000 mark. Juicing the gains were new steps from the European Central Bank to revive the region's economy.

Dow futures are up about 45 points Friday morning on the heels of a monthly employment report that was largely in line with expectations.

Meanwhile, if you're feeling a little richer these days … you may be right! The Federal Reserve reports Americans' net worth hit a record high in the first 3 months of the year, near $82 trillion.

Here’s another record, too -- the number of people streaming broadcast television on their smartphones.

Adobe says one in five of us now watch TV streamed through phones, tablets, and computers, a 246% increase in the past year.

Much of that streaming come from Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX). After the service publicly lashed out at Verizon (NYSE:VZ) for slow streaming speeds, Verizon is firing back, telling Netflix to stop blaming it for bad video quality or it will be sued.

And hello mister mom! New numbers from Pew Research show the number of dads who stay at home has doubled, from about a million in 1989 to two million today.
