Mid-Market Report: Lockheed Buying Astrotech Space Business

Astrotech (ASTC) has reached a definitive agreement to sell its space operations business to Lockheed Martin (LMT) for $61 million.

Astrotech says the deal will allow the company to concentrate on high-growth business opportunities as well as work to develop its "first detect" mass spectrometer product line.

Renesola (SOL) says it will ship less in the second quarter compared with the first quarter. The Chinese solar panel maker cites pricing pressure in the U.S. due to an anti-dumping investigation and the lack of approved projects in China.

Renesola also says it's moving its focus to rooftop commercial and residential projects from large-scale utility projects.

And Ruckus Wireless (RKUS) announced a partnership with Boingo Wireless to deploy thousands of indoor and outdoor Wi-Fi access points across dozens of U.S. military bases.

The new Wi-Fi equipment will be used to support social networking, gaming and streaming applications.

The technology will be installed at Marine, Army and Air Force bases across the country.
