Stocks fell for the second straight day as investors continued to pull back from popular technology names, pushing the Nasdaq Composite down 22 points. The Dow fell by just 5 points and the S&P 500 gave up 3.5 points Thursday.

Toyota (TM) said it is recalling 119,000 Avalon sedans from the 2003 and 2004 model years because their air bags could deploy unexpectedly. Toyota said the problem is with the air bag control module.

In other auto news, a Texas lawyer wants General Motors (GM) to pull all of its recalled cars related to the ignition switch defect off the roads because he says they're not safe to drive. GM says the cars are safe if extra weight is removed from key rings.

Meanwhile, job seekers may be in luck, as temp work is on the rise. CareerBuilder says nearly 3 million workers were employed in temporary jobs last year, up 28% since 2010.
