The market had another good day Tuesday after news on housing that distracted from tension in Ukraine. The Dow rose by nearly 89 points, the S&P 500 rose 13 points and the Nasdaq Composite climbed 53 points.
Microsoft (MSFT) jumped $1.50 after Reuters reported that the company will unveil an iPad version of its office software suite.
Comcast (CMCSA) CEO Brian Roberts is making big promises as he awaits the approval of the $45 billion Comcast/Time Warner merger. In an interview with USA Today, Roberts promised customers better service that will rival Uber, the on-demand car service app popular in major U.S. cities.
And Pandora (P), the world's most popular music streaming service, is hiking prices from $1 a month to about $5 for ad-free listening.
The company says the cost of licensing music has spiked 53% over the past five years.
