Dow Industrials, Transports the Lone Losers in ‘14

While much of Wall Street celebrates another record-breaking day, two major market averages are still underwater this year.

As of late Friday morning, the Dow Jones Industrial Average (INDEXDJX:DJI) and Dow Transports are trading more than 0.50% off on the year. That makes them the only major market indexes in the red in 2014.

This is despite the fact that the S&P 500 (INDEXSP:GSPC) and Russell 2000 have set new all-time highs and the Nasdaq Composite (NASDAQ:IXIC) is trading at levels unseen in almost 14 years (since April 10, 2000).
