The Dow Jones Transportation Average saw its biggest decline Friday since a 5.27% plunge on September 21, 2011. The economic bellwether had hit a record high in the previous session.

All 20 members are down at least 1%, led by a 15.5% plunge in Kansas City Southern (KSU) resulting from an earnings miss.  It’s KSU’s steepest selloff since October 2008 -- the height of the financial crisis.
