SAN FRANCISCO – Shares of Anadarko Petroleum Corp. got a boost on Wednesday on news David Einhorn's Greenlight Capital took a stake in the oil exploration and production company. Greenlight said it bought Anadarko shares at $78.55 due to analysis which indicated that Anadarko's legal woes won't be as costly as investors feared, according to a quarterly letter to investors obtained by ValueWalk. Greenlight did not disclose how many shares it bought. The stock is up 2.5% to $83.19 in recent activity.
