NEW YORK – Bank stocks fell Monday ahead of the start of fourth-quarter earnings. Bank of America Corp. and Citigroup Inc. were down 2% in the late afternoon. Goldman Sachs Group Inc. , J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. and Morgan Stanley were down more than 1%, and Wells Fargo & Co. was down nearly 1%. J.P. Morgan and Wells Fargo launch earnings season with reports early Tuesday. Analysts polled by FactSet are expecting lower per-share earnings but slightly higher revenue at J.P. Morgan, compared to a year ago. They are expecting higher per-share earnings but lower revenue at Wells Fargo.
