In the event that stocks rally in reaction to the FOMC decision Wednesday, it’s possible that we’ll see new highs in the S&P 500 and possibly the Dow Jones Industrial Average as well.

Ahead of Wednesday’s opening bell the S&P is sitting just 4.91 points, or 0.29%, below its record high.  The Dow Jones Industrial Average is 128.63 points, or 0.82%, away from its highest close.  The NASDAQ Composite is at its highest since September 2000.  The small-cap Russell 2000 finished yesterday at an all-time high.
