Frozen Food Express Industries (FFEX) was a major gainer in the sector, rising 3.4% (+6 cents) to close at $1.85 with 68,165 shares moving. The stock traded in a range of $1.72 to $1.86.
The Greenbrier Companies (GBX) declined 2.6% to close at $15.84, moving below its 50-day moving average of $15.57 and 200-day moving average of $17.57.
Vitran Corporation (VTNC) rose 2.6% to close at $4.30, approaching its 50-day moving average of $4.74. It has also moved closer to its 200-day moving average of $6.47. Teekay Tankers (TNK) rose 1.2% to close at $4.08, getting closer to its 200-day moving average or $4.45.
