Smith & Wesson Holding Corporation (SWHC) was a major loser in the sector. Its price dropped 11.9% (-$1.16) to close at $8.60, as 5.2 million shares moved. The stock traded between $8.42 and $9.59.
Photronics (PLAB) was a significant gainer in the sector, rising 10.7%. The stock closed at $6.33 with 1.3 million shares moving. The stock traded in a range of $5.78 to $6.40. Share price improved over the last three months, now up 65 cents (11.4%) from $5.68 on May 18, 2012.
Shutterfly (SFLY) rose 1.8% to close at $31.50, cross its 50-day moving average of $31.05 and 200-day moving average of $28.95. Tempur-Pedic International (TPX) declined 1.6% to close at $31.21, moving below its 50-day moving average of $27.38 and 200-day moving average of $48.66.
Rocky Brands (RCKY) rose 4.6% to close at $11.25, approaching its 50-day moving average of $12.45. It has also moved closer to its 200-day moving average of $12.42.
Kid Brands (KID) hit a new 52-week low today, hitting $1.27 to fall below the previous low of $1.36.
