Services Sector Wrap

During trading today, both the Services sector (IYC) and the S&P500 showed little movement.

DICE HOLDINGS INC (DHX) was a major loser in the sector, falling 12.6% (-$1.04) to close at $7.19 with 3.7 million shares moving. The stock traded in a range of $6.95 to $8.32. The stock has fallen over the last three months, dropping $3.79 (-34.5%) from $10.98 on April 27, 2012.

Barrett Business Services (BBSI) was a major gainer in the sector, rising 10.1% (+$2.11) to close at $23.07 with 72,977 shares moving. The stock traded in a range of $22.25 to $23.40. Over the last two months, shares have shown some positive movement as the price has climbed $3.41 (17.3%) from a price of $19.66 on May 25, 2012.

Nielsen Hldg (NLSN) rose 10% to close at $27.53, cross its 50-day moving average of $26.55 and 200-day moving average of $28.21. Priceline.com (PCLN) declined 5.2% to close at $631.04, moving below its 50-day moving average of $656.83 and 200-day moving average of $639.57.

DineEquity (DIN) rose 4.8% to close at $44.25, approaching its 50-day moving average of $44.57. It has also moved closer to its 200-day moving average of $47.13. Carter's (CRI) fell 3.4% to close at $50.35, moving down to 2.7% above its 200-day moving average of $49.00.
