During trading today, both the Consumer/Non-Cyclical sector (XLP) and the S&P500 showed little movement.

As a proxy for the sector, the ETF tracked closer to the overall market today than over the past month. Entering today's trading, XLP was up 2.8% over the last thirty trading days. The S&P 500, in comparison, went up 2%.

Dole Food Company (DOLE) was a major gainer in the sector, rising 8.3% (+81 cents) to close at $10.52 with 1.2 million shares moving. The stock traded in a range of $10.11 to $10.76. The stock has risen $2.17 (26%) over the last three months from a price of $8.35 on April 27, 2012.

Coca-Cola FEMSA S.A.B. de C.V. (KOF) was one of the sector's big losers, as its price dropped 6.7% (-$8.11) to close at $112.45. 488,728 shares of the stock moved. The stock traded between $110.79 and $120.86. The share price has dropped $12.21 (-9.8%) from $124.66 on June 25, 2012.

Adecoagro (AGRO) rose 6.2% to close at $9.91, cross its 50-day moving average of $9.60 and 200-day moving average of $9.36.

Coca-Cola HBC (CCH) rose 2.8% to close at $17.07, approaching its 50-day moving average of $17.12. It has also moved closer to its 200-day moving average of $17.74. Embotelladora Andina (LO) fell 1.9% to close at $33.22, moving closer to its 50-day moving average of $32.87. Also, the stock moved closer to its 200-day moving average of $127.11.
