RailAmerica (RA) was a significant gainer in the sector, rising 9.8%. The stock closed at $27.25 with 5.6 million shares moving. The stock traded in a range of $27.10 to $27.34. Share price improved over the last three months, now up $5.35 (24.4%) from $21.90 on April 25, 2012. FreeSeas (FREE) was another big mover, climbing 3 cents (+6.8%) to a closing price of 40 cents.
Diana Shipping (DSX) was a major loser in the sector, falling 8.2% (-56 cents) to close at $6.31 with 977,235 shares moving. The stock traded between $6.28 and $6.78. The stock has been falling in the last two months, down $1.80 (-22.2%) from a price of $8.11 on May 23, 2012.
Teekay Corporation (TK) declined 3.5% to close at $27.78, moving below its 50-day moving average of $28.10 and 200-day moving average of $29.54. JetBlue Airways Corporation (JBLU) rose 2.1% to close at $5.37, crossing its 50-day moving average of $5.32.
Globus Maritime (GLBS) rose 4.7% to close at $2.82, approaching its 50-day moving average of $3.07. It has also moved closer to its 200-day moving average of $4.08. Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico (TGP) fell 3.4% to close at $38.26, moving closer to its 50-day moving average of $37.60. Also, the stock moved closer to its 200-day moving average of $37.92.
