While the S&P 500 grew 0.7%, the Services sector (IYC) showed little movement during trading today.
Although it went in the opposite direction of the market today, the ETF tracked closer to the overall market today than over the past month. Entering today's trading, IYC was up 1.4% over the last thirty trading days while the S&P 500 was up 2.2%.
Jos. A. Bank Clothiers (JOSB) rose 5.1% to close at $42.64, cross its 50-day moving average of $42.27 and 200-day moving average of $47.16. Harte-Hanks (HHS) declined 16.1% to close at $7.76, moving below its 50-day moving average of $8.83 and 200-day moving average of $8.85.
Lululemon Athletica inc (LULU) rose 5.1% to close at $57.15, approaching its 50-day moving average of $62.21. It has also moved closer to its 200-day moving average of $65.55. Digital Realty (SBH) fell 5% to close at $76.31, moving closer to its 50-day moving average of $74.48. Also, the stock moved closer to its 200-day moving average of $24.76.
United Rentals (URI) was a major loser in the sector, falling 13.9% (-$4.77) to close at $29.66 with 14.6 million shares moving. The stock traded between $28.84 and $34.24. The stock is down over the last three months, having fallen $15.50 (-34.3%) from $45.16 on April 20, 2012.
Aruba Networks (ARUN) was a significant gainer in the sector, rising 11.5%. The stock closed at $13.90 with 4.4 million shares moving. The stock traded in a range of $12.48 to $14.15. The stock has fallen over the last three months, dropping $6.16 (-30.7%) from $20.06 on April 20, 2012.
